Day 1 Reykjavik
Welcome to the Land of Fire and Ice! On your own, transfer to Reykjavik by FlyBus Plus transfers. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Explore this beautiful city on your own. Dinner on own and overnight.
Day 2 Reykjavik City Tour, Blue Lagoon & Reykjanes Peninsula
After breakfast, we head out to the Reykjanes Peninsula with its hot springs, mountains, moon-like landscape, bird cliffs, lighthouses and fishing villages. In the afternoon we bathe in the Blue Lagoon. Drive along the south coast to arrive in the village of Hella and check in to the cottages. In the evening, we hear about the Northern Lights from our tour guide at Árhús Cabins. Naturally, once darkness falls, you are out in the garden waiting for the Northern Lights. Overnight
Day 3 South Iceland Tour
Today we travel along the south coast. We reach the area beneath the Eyjafjallajökull volcano and glacier. We stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall and visit Skógar folk museum of early Modern Iceland with its turf houses. At lunch, we visit the Skógarfoss waterfall.
In the afternoon, the tour continues further south where you walk on the famous Black Lava Beach at Reynisfjara, observe the Cap of Dyrhólaey and the Reynisdrangar Sea Cliffs before visiting the charming village of Vík.
In the evening there is another presentation about the Northern Lights. If the night is clear, you might see the Northern Lights swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the heavens in dramatic shapes, colours, patterns and sizes. Overnight.
Day 4 Return to Reykjavik
Breakfast. Morning flight to Reykjavik and return to your Reykjavik hotel. This afternoon experience the Golden Circle afternoon tour and visit Thingvellir, filming location for Game of Thrones season four, along with Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir. Overnight in Reykjavik.
Day 5 Departure Reykjavik
Breakfast. Morning free at leisure and transferred to the Airport. Fly back to home.
